FREEBAY SCAMMER

Buyer pretended not to receive the item and let it slip in an email to us that she expected this from OS sellers,  and where we were able to deduce that this is happening to her with other sellers as well ...

Her method is that she will try to get free items [on FREEBAY] without opening any Disputes, so that the only record of what she is doing, is through email between herself and the seller and those little refunds that pop back into her account through Paypal on a regular basis.

We asked her to open a Paypal case for security reasons before issuing her with a refund.

She then asked if we could just resend the item.

We insisted that she go through Paypal before we refunded and when she did finally open a case, she remarked again via email  "This is taking along time."    She was obviously used to just getting what she wanted from sellers [free items], immediately.

Once the case was opened in the Resolution Center, we offered to either refund her in full [no tracking on 1.25 item], or we offered to repost the item at our expense [since she wanted that], so long as she paid the extra 3.70 for Registered Post.

Then she left NEG.

Some scammers try to get refunds as well as the items, but others want double the quanity of items for the same price. Depending on how they assess the seller, they may get the seller to repost the item a number times, saying they are still not receiving it each time ... if, that is ... the seller does not pay for tracking.  We have been caught out this way in the past. 🙂

Incidentally, we never experience any losses through Australia Post [in 7 years as a buyer or a seller that was the fault of Australia Post] and while there is always a first time for us, our ears are open to the little things a scammer says and does. This one AVOIDS saying anything in the  Resolution Centre and will keep making demands outside of it, even while the case is open.

I suppose the system will DEFECT us because we suggested that the buyer open a case with Paypal before we refunded her.

I have a different attitude to feedbck now, I have decided to wear my Neg. Feedback like a medal of honour. I will not give in to FREEBAY SCAMMERS [not one] and when we are left out of Best Match searches for DEFECTS then we will reduce our Inventory and close shop for awhile ... and if Ebay restricts our account  ... we will sell elsewhere as well until the restrictions are lifted.

What I am finding is that the scammers want free items without working too hard for it ...

Lastly, there was never any risk of this buyer not receiving a refund or another lot sent to them, they just got angry because the theft took a little longer than expected.

PS;  Just got our next scammer from THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION. I sent him 4 corner pieces that make up a frame and he is saying that there is only one piece in the envelope. When I started to question him on if there were any holes in the envelope etc. he stopped writing. We'll see if he comes back ... He could have pretended not to receive the item, [a lot easier to steal that way] but we included a customs number on Ebay and while it means nothing to Ebay/ Paypal, he wouldn't know that and would still see it as evidence of posting. So you see, even when you take photos of what you send and provide  tracking number FREEBAY SCAMMERS can then say that you sent the incorrect amount and put this under an 'Item Not Described' dispute through Ebay. Ebay will then DEFECT the seller and the buyer can return some of the order [COD], keeping the rest for themselves plus refund.

They will then leave NEG. because they were made to work for the theft and because the seller did not do exactly as they asked.

I would be put off buying from you. Every neg & neutral received you have accused the buyer of being scammer and/or nasty or left
Insulting comments.
I have commented on this one before: "Great Item! Buyer Is A Satanist. To Avoid Upset Don't Shop At A Christian Store!"

That gives buyers no confidence if they have a real problem.. Item doesn't arrive...that the seller will take the proper steps to address their problem.

I agree am*3, parcels can and do go missing, so not a sound business practise  to accuse every buyer of fraud, infact, could be classed as down right ignorance.

Alos only had a quick look at buyer FB, didn't see much in the way of eveidence to support - habitual claiming INR ??

That's good ...because we don't want or need buyers like you at our store. Our sales are growing daily [repeat bulk buyers] so we must be doing something right somewhere. 😉

Most problems are resolved outside the feedback system ... so its not representative of every buyer with a problem, ... just the idiots.

ps; "You can't please all the people all the time...so now I just please myself" ... obviously no shame in being thoughtless and selfish ...

It doesn't matter whether it is $1.00 or $1000.00. It's not always about the money. It's about  NOT supporting dishonest behaviour.

Have a great day~! 🙂

Nor did I.

But did notice a couple of 'ripe' unbusiness - like comments ( is that all one word ) as respnses.

Also noticed the comment regarding - be it $1.25 or $1000 - scammers etc shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. etc

Noted in responses left for unhappy buyers - a comment close to a lot of 'hooh hah' over $1.25.

Make up your mind OP.
