False Guidence In eBay Forums.
It has come to my attention that people in this forum most tend to give false advice and or just simply what they think is correct.
Use your brain people.
Ask customer service via the customer service tab top right hand corner of your screen if you have any serious inquiries.
Thanks

You really have no idea what a troll is.
Following you around 'Selling'? Yeah right. I suspect most, like me, click on the threads that have posts we haven't read. Really easy. There's a list, sorted by date and time, descending.
Btw, eBay Customer Support is based in the Philippines, employs locals who use 'English' names and read from a script pretty much.
Assuredly they would know more about eBay Australia than members who actually have experience of the site.

You had to go to Customer Service to find out how to put people on ignore? The link under the user id to the left of every post?
What a waste of support staff's time.

Intelligent little bunch hey i may not be able to block you from the forum, but really i don't care thats eBay's job to block you from the forum, you may or may not be able to still post on this thread, i don't care.
But i can make it so i can not see what you say ๐ thats all that matters to me.
None of you so intelligent know it all's pick up on the fact customer service is not open after 11pm. hmmm
And only A troll Would Argue that eBay Customer support does not know what they are talking about ๐

OP I know you think people here are giving you false advice, and that everything customer support tells you is correct (and that is how it should be), but over the years I have regularly been let down by the information I have received from CS (and I am certainly not the Lone Ranger on that).
Many people here have a lot of ebay experience and though they may present their wisdom in ways that could possibly be improved sometimes, that does not make the information any less true.
For instance, I think I read somewhere that you were told by CS that it was ok to charge whatever you like for 'handling', is that correct?
When you start an auction at 1c and have P&H set at almost 5 times the rate that you can post for when the item is a BIN, then ebay consider that circumvention of fees, and if it is reported the listing will be removed, you will get a policy violation for each listing and they won't care who told you it was ok. ๐

Also, one other thing. I'm not sure if you know or not but if you go to 'preferences' up on the right hand side of the page, you can put a signature in so that you don't have to keep typing it. It will show automatically each time you post ๐
