I am so fed up with getting constant un paid items. The penalties for unpaid items is obviously non exisitent as i think i have almost as many unpaid item cases as actual paid sales
Just very fed up with impulse buyers who use us small sellers as their impulse fix.
I know you dont get charged for the listings by ebay but they do cut into potential real sales especially off buyers who are genuinely buy multiple items off you.
Would like to see a discussion thread on this issue

Stawka was right, there was what looks like some kind of make up/powder mark on the middle of the bra.
Mind you, the buyer should have noticed it too, before buying.
All the same, i would expect a seller to mention it.
But.. that is one of the customers who paid.
I would tend to agree with what a lot of others put up about maybe having buy it now, but bump up the price of the item, even if it is $10 and includes 'free' postage, I think people will still pay & a lot of people do like immediate purchases. If you're getting people who don't pay, it could be they have cooled before they even win the auction. Better to have them able to buy outright and pay immediately, then if they repent at leisure, they are the ones with a problem.
-------------------
Tippy, I saw this:
I run auctions, but have a BIN option. Of course that option disappears once a bid is placed, but it still gives people the option. As most of my auctions sell with only one bid, I'm usually happy to end early if a buyer asks. There's a couple of things I don't, but most I will on request.
Maybe it is just me, but I would feel pushy if I asked a seller to finish an auction before time. It's just something I don't think I could bring myself to do, because it's obvious that a seller will get at least what i have bid for it but if the auction goes on, they may even get more if someone else bids.
On the other hand where it has a buy it now or make an offer, I would not dream of buying till after I have made a slightly lower offer to see how I go.

Oh please, not another discussion on unpaid items!!
There are already numerous threads on the same subject if you take the time to look around the boards. There is only so much that can be said on the subject.
This is the OPs IDs first ever post.
Whilst Lyndal you claim to have "discussed" unpaid items numerous times, the OP has not actually participated in these discussion boards under their OP ID.
This is a "discussion" board for all eBay members - without any prerequisites to posting.
Gosh its now been several years that I have been around to witness continual posts by a handful of posters that actively discourage sellers from discussing the issues / opinions of the day and posting their view.
OP, over several years I have personally and publicly lamented the lack of system development by eBay regarding non-payers.
Whilst I think there have been some minor improvements, I certainly continue to share your frustration and think that it is valuable that you share your view on these discussion boards so that eBay sellers view is on the record, so that it might also stimulate discussion amongst existing and new eBay sellers that may stumble across the boards one day, and so that the current position / opinions by sellers on the boards is not unfairly skewed by a very very very very teeny tiny number of eBay members.

Maybe you need to read my post again Cats......I did not claim to have discussed unpaid items numerous times.
I simply told the OP that there are numerous theads on the subject on the boards if they look.....and there IS only so much that can be said on the subject.
There are so few members on the boards these days that you will only get the same old opinions anyway.

I have heard your advice/ opinion / response to new posters re an issue to them being a non issue due to "other threads on the same topic " so many hundreds, indeed. thousands of times it is now IMO spam.

The OP has never posted anything on this subject or any other subject for that matter

In that case he/she would not know about the other threads on the subject which makes my comment completely relevant to the subject.

Makes sense. If there were more things that could be said, they would be said. As they aren't...
i note, as per usual, you have attacked other posters rather than actually address the OP's issue.

Nothing changes in the world of the boards, some great advice from some, some DW's appearing now and then.......
