Quoting:
โThe final value fee is calculated as a percentage of the total sale amount per item (item price + postage and handling charges + any applicable taxes), plus a fixed charge per order.
Standard final value fees on eBay.com.au
Fee type/category | Final value fee (incl. GST) |
Fixed fee โ all categories Applies to all transactions, in addition to fees below | $0.30 per order |
Variable fee โ most categories Calculated per item, based on the total amount of the sale (including postage and handling, and any applicable taxes) | 13.4% of the sale amount up to $4,000 plus 2.5% of the sale amount over $4,000 |
Variable fee - Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) category | 5.5% of the total sale amount |
Fixed fee โ Services category | $44.00 |
Final value fee example
Here is an example to illustrate how final value fees are calculated.
Sale amount (1 item): $6,000 | ||
A different percentage is applied to the amount of the sale over $4,000 | Order fee + 13.4% of $4,000 + 2.5% of $2,000 | $0.30 + $536.00 + $50.00 |
Total final value fee (incl. GST) | $586.30 |
[โฆ]
Sellers not meeting performance expectations will be charged higher final value fees.โ
If youโre charged the usual non-store fees, your FVF will be 13.4% of the transaction total (that is, of $10 + the postage that you charge the buyer), + 30ยข.
Before you do anything - make sure you are signed up for Managed Payments and that your bank account and your ID are verified. You will not receive any payment unless you are fully verified and signed up for MP. Note also that your funds will be subject to a temporary hold as you are a new seller.
