I understand that a seller does have people following them,but why would someone want to follow a buyer? What would this person have to gain from following a buyer?

Maybe they know each other and it's the simplest way to find

them when you want to send a message through the ebay system?

It's nothing sinister. It usually means that they like you or have bought from you at some time, or they like what you sell etc etc You follow people too !

How can someone even follow you on a buying account?

I didn't think that was possible?

Could be a glitch and ebay let them follow the wrong account and they haven't noticed?

I have sent them a message to explain why they are following a buyer,perhaps they like what I buy maybe lol.

My id is only a buying id.   I had a follower.  It was a someone that wanted to

send me messages the easy way.  That's why I suggested that might have been

the reason.

You can follow anyone you like.
