Fraud and scams

We have recently be caught out with I now know as Triangular Fraud.

Orders for one of our products, Titebond Wood Glue, came through our usual website, but had been purchased by "customers" from an ebay site. The goods were well priced and Free Freight.

The order is then placed on our website and looks legitimate.

We then supply the product and the customer gives the ebay site positive feedback.

They do not look at the invoice that comes with the goods and do not realise that the total on the invoice is higher that what they have paid, mainly because of the freight charge that is added.

We only became aware when our payment processor started Charging Back payments weeks later.

I notice two more on ebay today, selling with no freight and they have our post code listed in the Postage section but the "Located In" is in another state.

The emails also did not make sense with the name of the customer on the order from our website.

We learnt the hard way

My reason for posting is Please Please be careful when supplying goods.

Maybe call before shipping. If no answer then hold off.

They may message back if you message them but calling is best.
