Good Morning

Given an utter lack of response or usefull assistance from anyone within Ebay I hope that a post within the message boards may be monitored and provide me with a response.

The Company I work for has probate over deceased estate after being appointed by the victorian supreme court. We have significant evidence the original Executor of the estate has committed several acts of Fruad including the missapropriation of funds and sold items on Ebay purchased with these funds.

As such we would like to know how we gain access information regarding this. Yet all attemts to contact Ebay Australia have gone unheeded. I have left emails, gone through customer help, spoken to someone in America, called Australin numbers which are no use, left messages on those numer when I can to no avail, and sent letters in the post.

At the end of the day it is UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL that no resopnse has been received, given we are talking about criminal activity and I would appreciate some information on how to physically contact a real person within Australia who has the capacity to assits our investigations.

I am not going to place my number online here, but I am sure Ebay have the capacity to contact me via the account I am currently logged in with.

In the event Ebay cnotinues to fail in basic customer relations I would envisage our alternative is to have the police involved.

Regards.

I would have thought that to have the original executor removed and a company appointed as executor there would have to have been legal proof of wrong doing by the original executor or an inability for the executor to continue in the role.

If you have sufficient evidence of wrong doing to convince the Supreme Court to over turn a grant of probate to the original executor then you have enough evidence for the police to investigate so why have you not gone to them?.

What sort of company do you work for that has been granted probate to administer a deceased estate?...it's obvious that it is the first time this company has handled such a task for you to have made your post.

Ebay does not have to answer to your company if your company does not have the legal power to demand answers.

I doubt your company has been granted the powers given to a court of law or to the police.

If you, or the company you say you represent, knew anything about the law relating to probate, deceased estates, fraud and the legal power to demand answers then you wouldn't have made your post ..so this all sounds quite strange.

Is it possible that you are simply a disgruntled beneficiary or non-beneficiary of the estate in question and are fishing for ammunition against someone?

or it has to be a windup or the Australian legal system needs a serious overhaul!

Ebay are not allowed legally to release any information to a third party without a court order or a request from the police. Even if you are in a transaction with another member they can only provide a phone number and email address without the express permission of the party concerned.

Your company should be very worried, they obviously have no idea about the data protection act.

Ask Inspector Clouseu, Maxwell Smart or Frank Spencer to investigate for you.

What information do you want eBay to provide to you?

Do you know the eBay ID of the person you want information on?

If you know their ID then you could look at their feedback as this would give you an idea of what they have sold, you could also look at their buying history.

The following question is for the regulars here:  Does the goof site still operate and can you do a search of the selling activies if you know the ID?

I haven't used it for a long time.

But it doesn't have anything to do with eBay.

But in this case it is totally irrelevant, how can you prove that items sold were purchased with fraudulently acquired money?  It has nothing to do with anything, as few people already pointed above.  It would be different if somebody was selling stolen goods, but in any case it is a police matter.

I know it is totally irrelevant but who am I to stop someone hell bent on getting their knickers in a knot?

I am so tempted to ask the OP for their relative's eBay ID so that I can have a sticky beak but that being poor form I won't ask.

Bump, the OP supposedly works for a company that is administering an Estate...the ebay seller is the original Executor who has defrauded the estate....supposedly.  Who knows if the OP even knows the ebay ID....it sounds more like a fishing expedition to me.

I would love to know what sort of firm the OP works for, that they have to come here on their eBay ID to ask a question on behalf of that firm.

Who are they?
