Why is that EBay allows sellers to advertise with photos that read 'FREE SHIPPING' and actually charge shipping when you open it up. Just checked 4 sellers stores , and found on the first 2 pages of each site several items being falsely advertised. 4 sites, 2 pages from each, it totaled 79 items which breach Australian Law. On 16/02/2024 Ebay were advised of this and I forwarded them 4 sites that were not complying to Law. Since then the practice is getting worse. Obviously EBay did nothing. What should I do? Go to ACCC or Current Affair or both?

I agree 'reusable' is also misrepresenting the truth.
Why, if its plastic they are reusable
Stick them in the dishwasher. lol
All you have to do is straighten them out - these are not the hard plastic types.
Plastic is plastic, I know people who reuse the normal plastic ones, sorry to provide factual information.

I use gorgeous blueberry-coloured glass straws. No microplastics/nano particles inhaled or ingested to the extent that I can prevent itโฆ

Noticed exactly the same thing just now, thought I was going crazy, but the mobile phone and desktop version of eBay are showing very different things, which is just ridiculous.

The phone app has always been a problem. Go to the full site on your mobile phone through a browser.

It is
But
It is one of the many known glitches/quirks/nonsense that happens as a result of using the app
And has been so for many years
Unfortunately, many attack the seller for this, like the OP of the post you've posted on
When it is no more the seller's doing than it is the buyer

I agree, it is one of the glitches that people here have been mentioning for a long time, maybe years.
I don't think a lot of casual buyers would be aware of it though.
I can understand the frustration of someone who looks at an ad that says free shipping, only to discover there is a charge when they go to buy.
It's a mystery to me why ebay hasn't fixed things. If we know about the glitch, then they have known about it even longer.
