Hi, how do I know many free listings I have had for the month?

after you have listed One auction/BIN you can scroll to the bottom of your my eBay page.. All Selling and your totals will show there.

putney does the month start on the 1st or the date of the first listing or some other date?

1st month to 1st next month

That's right, it resets the 1st and ebay instructed me that it may not take effect until the 2nd on some accounts, sometimes.

Mine always tick over at midnight on the 1st.
