Posting a few C&P's from the Power Seller Board - sorry I know how you all hate C&P, but just letting seller's know freight/postage is being affected again by our wild weather
Dear xxxxxx,
Due to flooding in north-east NSW over the weekend, a number of major towns between Taree and Ballina are currently unserviceable. Please find a service update on the affected towns below.
Freight for most of these towns will be held in Brisbane or Sydney until weather conditions improve and flood waters recede. This is expected to take several days.
Grafton: Due to flooding on the Pacific Highway, freight from Brisbane and Sydney is currently not able to reach Grafton.
Lismore: Freight into Lismore will arrive as scheduled. Some outlying areas are unserviceable due to localised flooding.
Port Macquarie: Most businesses in the Kempsey CBD and surrounding areas are closed due to flooding over the weekend. Limited deliveries will be conducted in Kempsey. No freight has arrived from Brisbane due to flooding on the Pacific Highway, north of Grafton. It will be business as usual for all other areas serviced from Port Macquarie.
Coffs Harbour: Road line-haul from Sydney ran as normal on Saturday morning. Freight from Sydney that arrived by air has been stopped during delivery at Port Macquarie due to flooding on the Pacific Highway at Clybucca. No freight has been received from Brisbane due to flooding on the Pacific Highway, north of Grafton. South West Rocks has been isolated by flooding and will not be serviced.
Taree: No freight has arrived from Brisbane due to flooding on the Pacific Highway, north of Grafton.

Northern NSW is also experiencing Huge delays
We sure are and the Pacific H/way is still cut at Kempsey and all traffic heading north unless they live in the area is being turned back where I live at Port Macquarie
The Kempsey mail sorting centre is also cut off so all mail in the area (my area) is being sent to Newcastle or Sydney to go into the backlog and them be sorted into the North South East or West trucks
All post trucks heading north are having to take the New England highway and are now getting caught up in the new Qld floods.

Major flooding in Northern New South Wales has caused significant disruptions to mail services.
Mail deliveries and Street Posting Box clearances in Grafton, Yamba, Maclean, Kempsey, Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas are significantly impacted. We also anticipate some disruption to services in Taree and Wollomombi.
A number of Post Offices in the affected areas have been unable to deliver or collect mail due to road closures, however all outlets are continuing to operate.
Australia Post will work with authorities to determine when it is safe and accessible to resume services. We will provide further updates when available.

Poor old Gympie - the CBD is going under again today, just a few weeks from last time.
What a nightmare for the shop-owners.
And of course, the highways will be cut, and no postal services.
Sunshine Coast and regions are also being badly affected

Hi greencat,
Yes, you’re correct, we live in Gympie fortunately way out of the flood area, however we have about 2” of water under our home (run off from the homes above us). O/H has been very, very busy using the watervac for several days now, I ‘m presently attempting to convince him that he’s fighting a losing battle but to no avail, he’s as stubborn as a mule. We still have access to Woolworths, but their stocks, once again, are going to get rather low soon. So very, very tired of the rain & the horrid damp smell that seems to get into everything, but we consider ourselves extremely fortunate that’s all we have to worry about.
Thank you for thinking of poor old Gympie.

Please take care everyone.

Greencat, stay safe, drive carefully & take care, Mt Coolum can be treacherous.
My thoughts go out to all who are effected and disadvantaged by this horrendous weather. :-x

I'm meant to be going on holidays and traveling from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast on Monday. Can't see that happening. Goodbye $800 accommodation deposit.
I hope my buyers understand the postal delays.

arnl7178, the flooding up here is quite localised (although I'm sure this is no consolation to those in Gympie) so provided you can actually get here then you shouldn't have any issues. If you are driving apparently the New England is all systems go.
