Here is the word from on high about how GTC will actually work.

As usual, all the info coming out of CS is totally misleading.

Listings will renew every 30 days with either a listing fee charged or a free entitlement consumed.

Why eBay could not just say this in the initial anouncement beats me!

Quite a bit of vitriol being splashed about but I can see why this is so unpopular.

We always had the option to auto-renew listings if we chose to do so.

About the only benefit I can really see is that Google will be able to index listings more accurately as their data will remain constant.

Other than that, just more work for sellers.
