Golly jee willikers, I'm excited. Too right mate!!
Less visibility, more Woolies and junk food ads, less viable categories, more useless rubbish from China via international intrepeneurs with no environmental conscience. Vintage buried....yep, I'm sooooooo excited....yay!!!

Pretty much everything is made in China these days, from the billions of trinkets, bags, toys and cheap clothes that clog up eBay to items lile iPads and all other electronic goods.

I'm a really slow learner, it would appear. The light finally dawned on me when I read the letter here on ebay Australia and it was signed by the head of Asia Pacific.
Derrrrr....

Hi Jilly and all
I just wonder how many of our buyers will look elsewhere for our wares?
I haven't had a sale on that other site for months, even though my goods there are cheaper (reflecting less fees paid).
And strangely enough I've just had the biggest month by a considerable amount right here on ebay. And at the same time on my website too.
So I just can't pick it. I am really in a position of having to stay here on ebay, if sales generated remain similar to the last 3-4 weeks, I am doing OK.
What peeves the most is the free shipping - I won't be doing it, so it remains to be seen how far down the searches my listings will go. I can cope with the changes to photos, the changes in fees paid, but FREE POST - it is just not going to work for me and the products I sell. I rarely just sell one of something - and offering free shipping - well it just won't work in that situation. And of course not offering free post means I will loose my Top rated seller status.... well I won't say any more or I'll get in trouble.
Does anyone have the mailing address for Lee ? the head of Ebay Asia Pacific?
I think I'll write to him and see what happens.

I cant say I am very excited.:-(
In the 3 or so years I have been selling and buying here it has just got worse. Both as a buyer and seller.
I find the buying more tedious in many areas.
So much junk and so hard to find things I have given up on many occasions
This is not good, sellers are losing out on sales.
So much from asia in the wrong categories and listed 100's of times, so much for the duplicate listing policy.
With selling I have found almost all changes a total disaster.
The drop in fees a couple of months ago was nice.
But as we now know this was just another eBay porky to force most sellers into something they did not want or need.
Honestly seems the only changes ever made are to benefit eBay or the very large seller, and the rest of us just get scr****.

yes dicko...it's a disaster alright. I shut my store...and am trying auctions, have 18 up..and still the minimal amount of hits..and 1 bid so far. Kinda scary really..for me it's the worst I've ever seen it.
I am hesitant to re open a shop again..because it seems that things just are not showing up anymore..too much stuff online, the economy, SEO tweaks. No idea. Listing elsewhere but dead there too...so off to continue with a website.
Colleen...very glad you are making sales on your website. I had big trouble trying to get verified with google at webs.....and just gave up on it. So trying elsewhere to make one...best of luck...all eloids may drop off..]:):-p
