Anyone enlighten me on how to get paid once someone has purchased your item as I have funds available but don’t understand how to get the funds out… just keeps giving dates on when they’re released - haven’t sold anything for a while and never will again

A while? Like many years?
Have you signed up for Managed Payments?
If no, you won't get paid until you do.
If yes, you will be considered a new/infrequent seller and have 14-30 day holds on your disbursements.

Okay, cool well that’s f*cked. Won’t bother selling anything here again. Absolutely ridiculous. Cheers for the reply

Any idea how to speak or live chat to a human on eBay or is that impossible?

Live chat - at the bottom of any of the Help pages.
Just be aware that there are no exceptions under any circumstances about how funds are disbursed to sellers. It’s Managed Payments only.

No worries, have tried but goes round in circles - will give it another go thank you

It is not impossible, but it's pointless. Go to 'help' at the top of any page, activate 'chat', ask to talk to an agent. Noting that agents read from prepared scripts, have no understanding of how eBay works, and are trained to get rid of questioners as smoothly as possible.
Managed Payments has been extant for many years - if you are not signed up you don't get your money.
A trap for old players who don't keep themselves aware of policies on sites they utilise.

I've just had a quick look at your sold item and the price warrants a bit of time on this.
You need to get signed up to managed payments. That is the bottom line. Till that is done, you won't be able to access the money. Once you're signed up, it shouldn't be too hard to arrange when funds can be transferred.
But because you are 'new' to selling or haven't sold in a while, the funds will be on hold for 30 days anyway, so you've got plenty of time to get signed up and do it right.
If you go to the help pages about selling, a tab will come up on the right hand side, asking if you want the automated assistant or to talk to an agent. Click on it. You'll start off with the automated agent but eventually if you keep saying your query is not answered, you'll get onto a real person and hopefully they can talk you through it or at least get you started.
But till then, it might be worth cancelling your other ads & only relisting once you're satisfied you are properly signed up and will be able to withdraw your funds.
