Glitch after glitch after glitch after. . . oh you know how it goes !!!

What a clunky old 'rust bucket' ebay is !!! I have contacted them repeatedly about a problem with my seller dashboard not displaying certain details correctly. My first message to them was weeks ago and all they can tell me is that they don't know what's causing it (having eliminated the usual suspects, cookies and cache) and have passed it on to their technical team.

Now I can't access my 'watched items'.

Wonder what the next glitch will be ???

That's practically the only certainty you can have about ebay these days - that there WILL be another glitch !!!

If you think it  is so bad why are you using the site? Nobody has your arm twisted up your back forcing you to use ebay, If there are other sites you think do things better then use them.

I'm not convinced there is.

Different sites have their strengths and weaknesses, as far as I can see.

I suppose when I post messages like mine, its just a way of possibly connecting with people who might be experiencing similar issues and then there's an opportunity of talking about it !

Nothing wrong with that, is there ?

Very non-specific, I must say.

But thanks anyway. YOUR post demonstrates that you have a deep appreciation of the purpose of these boards !! (Not)

Hi bettyboop

i agree PJ must be having a bad day, or is like a Collingwood supporter, one eyed (Ebay can do no wrong) yes agree is full of glitches, and has been since they brought in the new system, features have either disapeared or so well hidden damn hard to find, some new features are good, but overall it was easier here in the past. As to why are we here, because at the moment this is the site which generates the most traffic, and that is the only reason we put up with all the BS, even though sales have dropped dramiticaly over the last year or so, on the flip side we are starting to get more sales on our website, as buyers look elsewhere for better deals.

Website is great, does not get the traffic that Ebay get, as they do spend money to maximise that, but on the website if a buyer pays, they get thier item if not we forget it and move on, product problems we sort out no dramas, returns no problem if guniune, no negs no defects, as it should be.

On the subject of traffic - I have noticed how much it has stopped lately - anyone else noticed the same thing ?  I don't place a lot of faith & trust in all the figures, but a few days ago I noticed all listings that still had 25 days or more to run had received almost no views and consequently had next to NO watchers.  The few items that did have watchers I am sure were carry overs from when the items were previously listed.  Checked again today and nothing has changed, except now they are the listings with 23 days or more to run & still have received no views - very, very odd when, listings with up to 19 days left have received lots of views and have several Watchers, clearly the newer listings are just not being seen Smiley Sad and it is glaringly obvious
