Glitch in ebay showing calculated postage as free on apps

Hi

I just had a buyer complain via my feedback saying that i charged postage when the item said free postage.

I never stated my items had free postage.

The item had postage rate that was calculated according to buyers location, weight etc.

has anyone else come accross this before?

Fred's comment aside, are you not aware that ebay forbids the sale of digitally-delivered items, such as the templates you're selling via email delivery?

You need to edit all of your listings to state that you will provide the template via disk or CD, then post them a physical copy by Australia Post.

Do it soon, or you'll find that ebay will remove your listings when reported, and you'll be hit with listing restrictions and other possible sanctions.

Your buyer's feedback actually says that the feedback form said postage was free - I'm guessing the DSR for postage cost was greyed out and she wasn't able to mark it, with a message saying postage was free (which is what happens when post is actually free).

I've never had that happen as a buyer, but other DSRs have been greyed out and the seller granted an auto-5 when the didn't meet the criteria (specifically, several sellers have had an auto-5 for communication, which is only supposed to happen if they upload tracking info within 24 hours from sale, but these sellers had uploaded no tracking info and taken up to 3 days to even mark the item as posted). So, while it's not something I would mention in FB as I think it's an eBay problem (not the seller's), it's a glitch that does happen on occasion and some members may not know how much sellers can influence things like that, maybe.

Digital Ghost not ALL my items have free postage.

Only my Auction Templates and Pet Products have free post.

I was refering to a wedding bouquet i sold, that had the error.

This item is bulky and costs more to post than my other items.

It was listed with calculated postage - all the dimensions etc were entered into the calculator in ebay.

I cannot offer free postage on this item because it would mean running at a loss. Too match other sellers i have to keep my buy it now prices low.

To answer the reply regarding my digital items.

I was unaware i could not email digital items.

I have updated my listings to include postage via CD.

It's not against ebay rules to sell templates - they are my original designs,

I put alot of hardwork into making them.

I sell them to sellers/people that dont have the skills to make them for themselves.

I never said any of your items were free post - I didn't even look at your items. o_O

I did look at the feedback your buyer left, though. As I (actually) said, they seem to be referring to what the feedback page is telling them, not what your listings show. (I'm sure they probably would have done more than leave a comment like that if they thought it was free post when they looked at the listing, but found postage being charged when they went to pay).
