What do I do about it??

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1970-HT-Monaro-GTS-350-/261477054583?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3ce13f3877

That is the listing. They have taken it from when my dad listed it not long ago

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HT-Monaro-GTS-350-/291126164074

4 days left and the price is so high. I'm hoping the buyer isn't fooled and pays before receiving the car, because there's no car to receive, it's my dads!

And certainly don't want whoever it is to be getting any money from this. They should be jailed! This is a LOT of money they are trying to scam

Please help!!

Good result,(just over two hours).

In these cases when you can't ring eBay it's best to report it through the listing and then via Live Help,(they can

get it to Trust & Safety, who will see it as a scam listing/hijacked account and remove it),good.gif

Well done for being alert and acting quickly. I hope that Bogus seller gets what he/ she deserves. I used to think that the Discussion Forum was a bit of a  "Laugh" but good on everyone for the imput and the outcome. Just goes to show you that these things do have a purpose. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Unforunately it was a hijacked account and the main thing the scammer had on the listing was their Email

address for bidders to contact them.

So there would have been no way to trace the scammer.

They only needed one member to fall for it and they would/could/might receive the twenty eight grand touted

on the listing),stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

The boards do serve a purpose and the posters are better informed through them than eBay IMHO.

After all, every one is still waiting for answers from them for Response to your FAQs about Seller Release 14.1

Re: HELP! Fake seller listing MY DADS CAR

But no one buys anything thats 28,000 on Ebay do they?. Surely not. Maybe if the elevator doesnt reach the top floor.

Re: HELP! Fake seller listing MY DADS CAR

cars, bikes and boats etc would probably be the exception and those amounts would probably be fairly common

Re: HELP! Fake seller listing MY DADS CAR

Surely it should have been reported to the Police Online Fraud Division?
