Joe, I'm confused . I just read your other thread about pickup items
@joethenuts wrote:if you can and are available for pick-ups then you should do it it gives the buyer an extra service and a discounted $15 postage fee off there total price, also its a better guarentee that the buyer gets there goods , it stops buyers complaining they did not get there goods, but one of the main reasons is 99 % of my sales are pick ups and a lot of buyers picking up there orders leave my driveway with more stock than they ordered it is not unusual that a buyer is picking up one product for $25 and leaving after they spent another $100, the best % of a buyer was one day a pick up worth $10 left my driveway spending another $525
you will find what ever you have listed on ebay the buyer would also be interested in your other items..
the other day i ordered some labels from a seller he agreed on pick up it ws not that far from were i live the amount was $20 i left there spending another $50 on tape wrapping and bits and pieces and yes the seller did not have to pay any fees on that $50...
. . . . . . still confused . . . . .
@joethenuts wrote:at the moment i would have about 5 items yes i have tried ringing most of them then after 60 days they go of my selling screen i do have a record but sometimes on there there goods the writing weres off the sticker and i cant contact again because there ebay name is not readabel you say i cant relist them until i refund them there money back , is there a rule i cant keep orders for ever
surely if i send back there money after a year in a lot of cases and then relist it being a year older i would not get the price from a year back

If I were you, I would be sticking something in my ads about the time frame for pick ups eg within 2 weeks.
I did once read a good idea from someone else. They suggested sending emails after that time, saying that a storage fee would be charged per week if the item was not picked up.
I would look at it this way. If you are talking about a smallish item price wise eg under $30, I would be inclined to keep it around for the 180 days, sending reminder emails weekly.
After that time, the person can't give you feedback, the time for them to lodge any sort of claim will have expired, I would send an email saying you will no longer be holding the item. Then i would relist it.
I would not refund. I look at it this way-you would have spent a lot of time on it, you would have had to store it and you would have paid selling fees to ebay on it.
If you're talking something very expensive, that would make it very hard but you shouldn't be expected to have to hold something forever and refund even years down the track. That's not on.

well its not the time a lot pick up in a month which is fine because they wait untill auction finish we have 20 auctions every week and pick up all together its not unusial for pick ups of 10 pieces but if nobody messages you back for 2 months why shoukd i keep going after that

Because it's the Law?
As you were advised earlier there are specific steps you MUST take, not just whatever you FEEL is appropriate.
