Just after a few opinions please as not too sure what to do.
Received an "item not as described" message from a buyer this morning.
I sold her a pair of pre owned shoes and said in listing that they measure 26cm. She says they only measure 25.5cm.
I immediately messaged back and said of course I would arrange return and full return if i had measured wrong - could she please send a photo to me with a measuring tape on them.
She has since sent a photo but it is too small to actually see the measurements on the tape anyway.
All that aside I would have refunded BUT I just went and had a look at what type of feedback she leaves for other sellers.
In 15 out of her last 25 transcations as a buyer she has left negative feedback for the seller - wow she sure is an unlucky buyer.
She even leaves negative feedback if the seller refunds.
So if she is going to leave me negative feedback anyway - should I bother to send her a reund?
What do others think?

Wow, Paypal sure are working fast nowdays. The email came through at 2.47am letting me know that they had decided in the Buyers favour - no suprises there.
And yes I agree with posters above - she will at least now be out of pocket for return postage.
When
I refund buyers, I always send a prepaid satchel with me address on it so that all they have to do is pop the item in and them post it. Upon receiving the item back, I refund their total paypal payment so they get purchase price and original postage back. That way they are not out of pocket at all.
I was prepared to do this for this buyer until I read her feedback.
I pretty much knew paypal would find in favour of the buyer - I guess it just hurts when I read the lovely feedback my other buyers leave for me and then I read the awful negative feedback that is customary in her feedback left for others.
Now to wait and see how she words her feedback.

You have only 1 neg feedback, unfortunately your reply to it was not very professional.
Sometimes, it is best to leave it alone as others will see the buyer as being nitpicky and pendantic, however with a reply that is rude or blunt, then a potential buyer will wonder if there was some underlying reason and perhaps be put off by this retaliation.
I know it is hard to keep your emotiions in check, but in future, a simple reply, such as 'measurements were available' would be sufficient.

When you get the shoes back, I can only encourage you again to make sure to measure them and appeal paypals decision if they measure as you described.

I had one of these buyers and their feedback wasn't all that bad, they were getting away with it obviously and leaving good feedback however the red flags went up with her first message.
It inspired me to write this guide http://www.ebay.com.au/gds/Feedback-Extortion-/10000000178831518/g.html
Just make sure if she does leave the neg that you follow up to the comment like I did on my recent neg so others can block the id
