Has anyone else taken a case to the ACCC regarding Ebay policies and their interference in sale?

Has anyone else taken a case to the ACCC regarding Ebay policies and their interference in sale which is actually between a buyer and a seller, not ebay and a buyer?

I have an issue where Ebay issued a refund to a buyer for goods that I have not yet received back to me so I am out of pocket both the item, the monies paid to me for the item and the postage for sending the item originally and 2 postage returns labels.

The buyer also gave me a negative review so my reputation has been tarnished but Ebay doesn't even want to discuss.

You are right, I don't know if anyone commenting on here are lawyers, but most of us not only have a lot of life experience, but are business owners and have to know a certain amount of contract and other business law as part of running a business.

I would say mayebe apply to the ACCC or a Lawyer and see what they say, those who commented here are not all lawyers so their advice counts for little.

I agree, that the advice counts for little in a legal sense, and I don’t think any posters that post on these boards are lawyers . . . . . . but I have seen a lot of “victims” coming here looking for a legal opinion.

Anyone who looks for legal advice on a public forum will get the advice they deserve.

I went to the ACCC When the GTC came in a I was charged heaps of money for listings that were supposed to be free.

The ACCC needs to grow some balls. They wouldn't do anything. they are hopeless. They just don;t give a damn about us.

So we know who's side they are on.

Why wouldn't you just call ebay and get refunded.

It's as simple as that.

I did, and several calls later I finally got someone to actually give me a refund. It just took a while, and ACCC was contacted

when I was getting the brush off in the first place.

accc won't take any actions. the best change is to take ebay to the court like a class action. i ordered goods that has not arrived. and ebay ignored my refund request. they are just bizarre.

Are you saying you opened an item not received dispute

Followed through with it

And eBay sided with the seller (without valid reason)

Very bizarre indeed

Even more bizarre to suggest a 'class action' over such a thing

Especially if this is the seller in China with horrid feedback you chose to buy from
