I never said I didn't have to open UIDs, just that I didn't have NPBs.

I'ne only had a couple - I think both were young people who just changed their mind, but not sure.
Otherwise, my buyers usually pay when purchasing, so I'm fortunate.
Yes, put them on your BBL - have a few on mine, from what I've picked up on the boards, and some from way back.

I've encountered some bidders who are either illiterate, blind or just plain dumb - Not saying all bidders are btw.
Bidders, please do yourself a favour and READ every fine print in the description and do your own research first before bidding.
I encourage all sellers to open a NPB claim for these people, by letting them off easily you're encouraing them to be a repeated non-paying-burstard offenders*!

Definitely has increased and unpaid item reports do not seem to deter them

It does if you set your Buyer Requirements to BLOCK THEM
My Ebay > Account > Site Preferences > Buyer Requirements
Block bidders with 2 or more Non-Payment Strikes in the past 12 months = tick

Im primarily a buyer, but lately have been outbid on a lot of items then have received a second chance offer. This has happened a lot lately, not sure what's going on. Sometimes I think the seller has used someone else or a second account to try and up the sale price, then offered the second chance because I haven't bid any higher.
Cheers
Ray

Yes, I've noticed a huge increase in non-paying bidders over the last 6 months. I always try and contact them and they nearly always pay after this. What concerns me is that as a seller I am then open to these nuisance buyers giving me low DSR scores through no fault of my own. Also, as this is anonymous, I cannot "weed" out which buyer is doing this.
My suggestion to ebay (not that sellers opinions seem to be listened to anymore) is that any buyer who delays payment on any format for longer than two days should automatically receive a neutral, automatically generated feedback score from ebay itself. It should state something as simple as "this buyer paid after the due date" which lets face it is immediately on BIN. The buyer should also be unable to give the seller negative feedback and NO DSR rating.

Think it relates to the volume sold too.
A number of the other posters on this thread sales volume has also decreased, so it makes sense that the number of unpaid items would decrease compared to previous years.

Yes i have had an increase in nonpaying bidders.Got a message from a guy who wanted to cancell the transaction (car part)-reason was,his 2 year old son bid on the item.He got into the ebay site, logged on,typed in valiant vf ve,then placed a winning bid ,all at the age of 2. Some buyers must think sellers a fools. What worries me when i open a dispute for non payment, the bidder after he/she pays, will leave negative feedback.Ebay should not allow bidders who have had disputes opened against them, to leave feedback.

There are many far more recent threads on this matter. I couldn't remember posting on this thread two days ago, then I realised I posted on this thread a YEAR and two days ago.
