Heads Up that Click and Send Prices are Going Up on the 15th

From AP facebook page:

postage prices for eBay / Australia Post flat rate products will increase from Monday 15 April 2013. Postage for the 500g satchel will increase from to $7.15 and postage for the 3kg satchel will increase from to $11.70. Postage for the flat rate boxes will be $7.15 for Bx1 box, $11.70 for Bx2 box and $15.05 for Bx4 box. The cost of packaging for these products is not changing.

Obviously AP feel they now have a critical mass of committed C&S users. Which is probably true in my case, as C&S satchels are still way cheaper than standard ones.

why does it say $15.05 for a B3 box?    where is the B4 box?

curraone, I am not sure where you are looking but on the facebook page reply I have this:

...Oh yeah, and signature on delivery is going up from an extra $1 to $2.95. 😮

So will we need to use the signature to prove an item was delivered? 

At that price I expect them to actually get a signature from now on and not just leave it at the door.

You don't need to prove an item was delivered for PayPal purposes, only that it was posted. However, the $2.95 signature on delivery option is necessary if you want the parcel to be insured. 

Seems to suggest to me that either they lost so many parcels so as to necessitate a tripling in cost, or they would prefer people didn't insure their packages. For $2.95, however, I would want to be able to insure the contents for more than $100.

Apparently it will be $6.95 to lodge a parcel less than 500gm with tracking at the local PO. Cheaper than C & S

But on the AP site the references are to B3. I'd go with a B4 and let the ombudsman sort it out.

But that will not be enough to satisfy paypal,    You still need to use either registered post or click & send in the event of a dispute,  the over the counter so called tracking offers no seller protection.
