hi everyone i need some advice please.
i recently sold a picture frame as pick up.
the buyer won the auction for 99c and only after winning he messaged me asking for postage.
i have notified him that i could not get to a post office but i did try but can't get there. i looked on Australia post for post cost. thats fine but i still cannot get to the post office.
i had discussed with him how to add postage i would have to refund his 99c as he paid before waiting for postage calculations.
i want to cancel this transaction as i have no time or way to get to the post office at all.
am i in the right to do this or do i have to follow through and post.
ive already refunded him.
thank you

If there was no mention in the listing that postage was an option then the buyer should have asked BEFORE bidding/buying NOT after.
Refund the payment and tell them as it was pick up only you are not willing to post.
OR refund and send a new invoice with postage at $250 and if they complain say well that what it is and you should have asked before bidding.
If they pay then send it via registered post so they can not claim item not received.
If they leave a neg feedback then contact ebay and they will remove it as there is no mention of posting the item.

As you had pick up only, that is all you are obliged to provide. Unless the buyer asked and you agreed to posting it.
I would then message the buyer and say sorry, I just cannot post the item and that you will send a cancellation notice to finalise the transaction.
And send a mutual cancellation, once thats accepted, you can re-list the item.
