6 billion, that would be close to the population of eBay wouldn't it?

OK Everyone,
give the guy a break, he is asking a real question here, so how is it some sellers stores have what appears to be a custom layout ? is one able to set up a store layout like the one in the example on a basic store package or is that only available on the more expensive store packages.

And is getting real answers

Difficult to take this poster seriously if you look at his history. Also, he has been posting with multiple IDs with a view to asking questions that he is really not interested in or can easily be found from the site map. Some helpful members have provided excellent suggestions and have then been ridiculed as a result by his other IDs.

It was looking promising(his sales) but now that they have reached over 10 the DSR are starting to look grim.

The questions appear to be real, but the reasons for asking them also appear to be dubious given that there have been posters offering detailed information and advice, much of which has been promptly ignored and then the same question asked again in a new thread.
@As to the question at hand, I don't know the answer, I can only say that the store that has been linked to definitely has the older format, you can tell that by the frame, navigation menus, promo boxes etc. You can also be reasonably assured that they have an anchor store (which is the most expensive store subscription @ $500 p/m), because the eBay search bar doesn't appear at the top of the page when in their store - that option used to be available for featured store holders, but disappeared some months back, which also confirms that there are some features available to anchor stores that aren't available to others, aside from the free listings / lower fees etc.
It's possible that the store is using independent HTML to adjust the store layout (only available with old store format), but unlikely because I've seen it in other, completely unrelated stores, unless the code or template is widely available somewhere.
Only someone with an anchor store would be able to confirm if that layout is an option provided by eBay, or something else. (I have a featured store, new format, no layout options other than list or gallery view, neither of which display like that).

Oh dear, you are right, that's not a good start to a business that's going to make him a millionaire inside 6 months. I had 5 stars until I was well over 5,000 feedback. As it is now, postage cost is still 5 and the others are all 4.9. Never been lower than that. I couldn't tell you the last time I was marked down on stars (and yes, I check every feedback to see).

My store is basic and I have the shading behind the categories.
I have had my store for several years, though.
