To our regular posters here, remember this new seller from last month who wanted a higher selling limit after selling $15,750 worth of presale games in 7 days and a bunch of discounted iPhones - guess what ?

A few things struck a chord with this episode.
1. The selling limit of 5k was not imposed on this new seller.
2. Having flagged every item as suspicious to eBay, they let him sell for weeks.
3. 150 or so buyers were still naive and spent hundreds of dollars on items with one line descriptions, and with a seller with little to no feedback.
4. As the items were pre sales, and the buyers not expecting their items in weeks, did the seller get away with it despite PayPal's 21 day hold on funds for new sellers ?

1.Correct
2.True
3.I can't believe that buyers can be so gullible when it is too good to be true
4.21 day hold on funds is more than that,it also includes the seller receives a certain amount of positive feedback, has a number amount of sales and sells for 90 days from the first sale before the hold ends.
So this one is interesting because if this seller was allowed to forgo all the policies then maybe this seller may get away with it?
PayPal will need to refund all of these buyers from their own coffers and then pursue this seller scammer.

Not accusing anyone myself included haha but an inside job comes to mind with someone having an axe to grind to be able to get away with this unless this seller has another selling acount which means they would have received the benefits of selling like they did?

Well you at least provide a latte and love poems to relax them after scamming them. That's so nice of you

The feedback keeps on coming and that buyers percentage might break a record low... someone who never received their $750 'iPhone' gave the seller NEUTRAL feedback ????
When you look at the buyers he fleeced many had good feedback and experienced eBayers. Also, a lot of the items had 'Best Offer' which is good 'bait'. I always enjoy reading what people write in their Negative feedback.

The interesting point about this SCAM was the effort they went to selling some reasonable quality goods which they probably bought from a supermarket and possibly sold at cost or below to gain some credibility, managing 10 positive from 14 sales (that's way better than I achieve !)
