I tried this link and it doesn't work.
Thanks for the No help.

g-facepalm.gifUnfortunately it appears that trulyspecialgoodies who posted 8 years ago did not realise that you would be anticipating a reply to your as-yet-unasked question in March 2021.

Darn it. I'll bet that the poster didn't even know about the COVID-19 pandemic back then, either. Very sloppy psychic work...

All right... Delicate sarcasm aside, try looking at the eBay Valet help page.

The above Help page indicates that eBay Valet has partnered with Fishpond to provide this Valet service. It also states that there is 22% commission, and with the limitations (nothing without a barcode, no electronics, no clothing//shoes/blankets, nothing heavier than 20kg or larger than 45 x 61 x 39cm).

However, actually going to the eBay Valet partners page, there's no mention of Fishpond. Rather, it speaks of Odeo and Airtasker.

Odeo and Airtasker are eBay Valet partners. Odeo handle electronics ("pre-loved tech, homewares and more"), and Airtasker is suitable to find people who'll sell other things for you. You need to join Odeo and/or Airtasker, and for Airtasker you need then to post a task.

DISCLAIMER: I have not used any of these. I'm not a seller. I'm just here to brighten people's day, post eloquently, produce little nuggets of information, and drink coffee.

Otherwise, I would suggest you ask around or advertise.

POINT TO CONSIDER: You're not likely to get anyone at 17%. That's ridiculously low. You're also not likely to get anyone who'll do the picking up (although some might). The norm seems to be that it's your responsibility to get the items to the person selling them for you - or else you may well be charged for the cost of the other person's collecting your items.

Also remember: be sure of the other person's identity. Ask to see ID, and make sure that you keep a record of the name and address and phone number, as verified by seeing their D/L. Make sure that you sign a contract - make it clear in writing that you are not giving away your items, and clarify the T&Cs.
