A lot of googling and hard work...no-one is going to do it for you, or give you any leads to their own suppliers so you can go into competition with them.
Many wholeslers will not supply you if they know you want to sell on ebay.

You're probably better off looking for things like trade shows, that way you know you'll be seeing products that can be supplied to you and any questions you have can be answered directly.
If you're doing a google search, you can narrow the results by refining them - eg use the search tools to only show pages from Australia so that - for the most part - Australian suppliers are shown (it doesn't always only show suppliers based in Oz, but rather it shows Australian web site / pages, so sometimes you'll get results from OS suppliers still, including sellers on eBay who make their stuff available worldwide).

I did not say that all wholesalers will refuse to supply you...just that many will.
It all depends on what you want to sell and whether there are authorised resellers already on ebay. All you can do is ask.

As has been said it takes a lot of work and time to find wholesalers. In saying that you can find some using Google as a starting point. Just enter what you are looking for like "wholesale only clothes Australia", "clothing importers Australia" etc. You will find when you Google search for wholesalers you will get a bunch of retailers coming up in the search results so beware. Use terms such as "distributor" "importer", "wholesale only" to try to cull some of those that aren't genuine wholesalers.
Some industries also have industry bodies that have annual trade shows which are a fantastic way to source products. Just do some research and find out as much as you can. There are also some online wholesale directories. Again, be careful and ensure you do your homework in terms of pricing etc before comitting to buying anything.
Most (if not all) genuine wholesalers in Australia will not sell to you unless you are a registered business and you will need to provide them with an ABN.
Some companies do not permit you to sell their products on ebay or auction sites, but will let you sell products on your own website (provided it meets with their satisfaction). Others will not let you sell online at all. Many others will let you sell via any sales channel you like. Check the terms of trade with any potential suppliers so you area aware of what you can and can't do. Most have minimum order quantities, some require goods to be paid for prior to shipment, others will give you a 30 day account once you have an established relationship.
Good luck with your endeavours. Although it is time consuming I would urge you to put in a lot of groundwork before jumping into anything.

i agree with lyndal and wishuponastar, you really need an abn number, and in my experience, even an abn number can still not be enough, quite often you need at least a website. in saying that though, i deal with companies that do sell to you even if you dont supply them a website but you will need at abn number, if you want to know more, simply pm me and i can point you in some directions, why would i you ask? because there was a point in our ebay selling when we needed such assistance and had to do the work to find it and it was hard, so i dont mind giving you some direction to be helpful at all.
