How do I add a second category to an existing listing? The Revise page is no help.

How do I add a second category to an existiing listing? The Revise page allows me to change category but not add an additional one.

The old screens used to allow this but I can't find out how to do this now.

Hi and thanks for trying but I have been to the Change category screen and there is only the option of selecting another category.

I can't see any link for adding a second category. Where exactly is it please?

I am wondering if there is some issue with a pop-up window. Does the add another category screen open in a pop-up window? j

Hi and thanks for your reply. I remember the appearance of the lines you have shown from the earlier listing system.

Hoever this current listing I am trying to add a second category to was made using the Quick listing tool and now when I go to the Revise button those lines as you have shown don't appear. There is nothing to allow adding a second category.

There is a link to go to the Advanced listing tool though but when I click on that it goes to the normal 'start a new listing' screen and doesn't refer to the one I am trying to add to.

Oh how frustrating for you! I've never used the quick listing tool so can't help any further with that - sorry Smiley Frustrated  Maybe someone will come along who will be able to suggest a solution.

Hi,

This is what appears :

Buyers will see your listing in this category:
Antiques > Silver > Sterling
Select another category
Resume your listing
Create your listing from a similar item

Re: How do I add a second category to an existing listing? The Revise page is no help.

Hello to those who tried to help with my query.

After several emails back and forth to Customer Support it has now been said to me that because the item was initially listed using the Quick list tool that it is not possible to add an additional category.

It turns out that it is only possible if you list with the Advanced listing tool in the first place.

It would be nice if this information was said on the screen when you first go to list with the Quick listing tool. Or evn later if you try to add another category, it would be nice if you were then informed that it is not possible. Instead I have spent hours today going around in circles trying to solve the problem, thinking that it was my fault for not looking in the right place.

Quick list users beware!!

Don't use it and only list in one category anyway, but thanks.
