Hi
I can't have a local pick up with paypal payment, as there will be no proof that the buyer got his item. How do I correctly set up cash only payment.

You cannot set up a listing without offering Paypal I am afraid, if you insist on listing that way you will have to use Gumtree.

Take a copy and/or record their drivers license and also have them sign a receipt that goods have been collected

In no way give your license details to a person that you are buying from off ebay.

I often see this advised. If I paid via paypal for a pick up item (not that I ever have), I'd be happy enough to sign a receipt saying I had collected it, but I don't think I would be prepared to let anyone make a copy or photograph my licence.
Is it just me (and eezipeez too by the looks of it)? Wouldn't anyone else be uneasy?

Hi weatherloach....
hope you come back to read all this advice here
You have to add paypal as a payment option, but in the description blurb, write:
CASH PAYMENT, ON PICK UP PREFERRED
PICK FROM (insert your town name here)
That usually works

Well, well.
Here's someone who seems to have the pick up address problem sorted for their items

Have seen a few major store sellers doing the same and offering to come down for a deal.
Reported them of course and have seen they have since reverted back to suburb only at item location.
Springy I would ask for licence number if pick up had paid PayPal and record rego number also.
If there is a chargeback, PayPal can see if fraud has occurred with the info.
A possible safeguard against losing item and money.

That particular seller has all the details further down in the listing as well

Your drivers license is the most commonly asked for item of ID - did you realise that?
