Hi im new to selling and in the most part its been good but it seems there are alot of buyers that double buy and only pay for one item and then there is the buyers that say you sent the wrong color (so on) i even have one buyer that keeps wanting free replacements for all types of reasons..
So how do all the sellers handle these type of buyers??

- Set a returns policy and stick to it.
- For error purchases you can open mutual cancelations or non-paying bidder disputes to get your fees back from ebay
- If someone claims you sent the wrong colour etc then you can either ask for photos or the item returned.
- Set up a system so that you don't send the wrong colour etc
- If a customer is being demanding, step back, take a breath, wait until you are calm before replying.
- If they are demanding replacements multiple times then insist they return the other items first.
- Make friends with your blocked buy list and put problem buyers on there.
- Treat customers the way you would like to be treated but don't let them treat you like a door mat. Treat them with respect and expect it in return.
- Don't be afraid of non-positive feedback. You can't please everyone and the majority of people can read feedback and work it out for themselves.
- Read the feedback extortion policy
good luck ๐ This is a particularly difficult time of year as a lot of people are under extra pressures and sometimes an ebay seller can seem like an easy target.

This is also probably the craziest time of the year. Every buyer wants the item yesterday, and can't understand why delivery times may actually be longer than at any other time of the year. Smile, sigh, do your best, come here to vent or whinge, and above all - have a bottle of scotch on hand for the really FUN days! :^O
You can't please all the people all the time, so now I just please myself

yeah totally agree with the-kazbar that is exactly what i'd do. some people are only after a freebie . i found the way to battle this problem is to set your refund policy that they cant receive a refund untill item has been returned and they have to pay the return postage. this way you can just work out for yourself on who you want to return the item and who you will just refund their money without a return .

You can set your own terms bianca, but they have to be realistic.
You can't say you will cancel a sale if it is not paid in 3 days, (eBay gives a buyer 7 days) On eBay, there are procedures to be followed. Same with returns, of course you can state your policy (no return for change of mind etc) but you can not refuse return for INAD etc.

I do not why you would do it .....however you can set your own terms. As long as your tand c is within ebays policies
The function that ebay has for NPB dispute to be lodged after 4 days is superflous to any seller terms as long as your T and C terms are within the parameters that ebay set.......
A link please to any advice/policy that says you cannot demand immediate payment as a term of your sale????
(not a link to how I can make a buyer immediately pay...but.. a link to the advice that I cannot make a term of my sale that the buyer must immediately pay ...there is a big difference)
you can say you will cancel a sale if it is not paid for within 20 minutes...that is a sellers perogative and within ebays user agreement and policy boundaries.
If you decide on that sale term then any buyer that pays after that period you can refund stating that they did not meet your term of immediate payment and you are accordingly refunding.
After 4 days you cna initiate a NPB dispute to give ebay the power to decide whether they will give the buyer a strike thereby alleviating any non performing seller action...
you would initially wear the negative feedback but it would be removed eventually as long as you stick to your guns bevasue the buyer breached your tems and conditions
it is written in the user agreement that
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/user-agreement.html
We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers.
We have no control over and do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of items advertised, the truth or accuracy of usersโ content or listings, the ability of sellers to sell items, the ability of buyers to pay for items, or that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction or return an item

Youy just need to navigate interpret ebays obfuscated oxymoron "help" sections
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/pay/require-immediate-payment.html
As a seller of an auction-style Buy It Now listing or a fixed price (Buy It Now) listing, you have the option of requiring a buyer to pay immediately with PayPal before that buyer can purchase your item. You might use this feature if you're selling a time-sensitive item or if you want to avoid unpaid items. This feature is only available for PayPal payments.
Please note although the "feature" is only available for paypal payments.....
that does not mean you can not include immediate payment as a term and conditon of your sale
...it just means you cannot use ebays feature to promote it.
You can require buyers to email you a copy of the bank transfer or manual bank deposit receipt
