We have had a terrible buyer on our auction ID.
A month after sending out an item by large letter she reported INR.
We looked at her FB history (score 700+) and she has at least 10 INR's with negs against other sellers in the past year or two.
One other as recently as 3-days ago. She is a seller as well with a pretty ordinary track record on there I might add.
Going by her history we are pretty convinced she is a scammer, so we asked the normal questions. Verify the address, check at your local PO etc. She got angry at the questions so we responded with our often used lines that we report INR cases to Aust Post, ebay and possibly AFP fraud squad. Notwithsatnding all this we also offered to send out a replacement item. Our messages have all been non-accusatory and factual. Unlike the responses we got back!
We also asked if she had any other troubles with mail not arriving when we already knew her track record. She replied that she never has any problems with mail being received. Outright lie right there!
Anyway... She has now left us a NEG stating that we are rogues and that we called her a liar etc. This is our first ever NEG FB. And she sent back a heated message calling us all sorts and saying she does not want our refund or replacement item. I think she has been caught out and this is her way to hit back.
I think this is the kind of buyer (and seller) that we do not need on the ebay community at all. I would really like to see her shut down for the benefit of us all. She is the type who ends up giving the majority of us good sellers and buyers a bad name.
I would like to report this scammer to the AFP fraud squad for their investigation.
How do I report to AFP?
Is there any recourse back thru ebay to have the NEG removed in such a case?

you can get a court order to have a neg removed.
eBay will likely only remove it if it violates their feedback policy, so depending on what it said......
I once sold a book listed as used - buyer, with no contact left me a neg and said "book was used"
eBay let it stand as she stated her opinion

Geeze can you give us a hint. I hope I don't cross this persons path.

I didn't post the ID on here as that is a NO-NO.
So if you want the ID for your own blocks please PM me.

This is what her FB comments says:
BEWARE RUDE SELLER THREATENED ME! Item not received called me a lier!!!

We are certainly not "rude"
We never threatened anything, merely stated our normal INR reporting processes.
We never mentioned anything about lies at all in any message.
Looking back at her FB left for others its almost identical words in every case.
Not to mention she cannot spell "liar". LOL. Gotta try to keep some sense of humour to stay sane.

Unfortunately, although you could make a report, the Fraud Squad is unlikely to take any action - a couple of years ago, a seller came to the forums with indisputable proof that a buyer had received items they initiated an unathorised use CC chargeback for (in other words, they admitted they owned the card and had the items, and from memory claimed innocence / ignorance over why the chargeback happened). There were a lot of sellers involved, but the one who came to the forum took it as far as they could.
Basically, after talking with the fraud squad, they said the seller had to give the buyer X amount of days to send repayment, and only if the payment wasn't received would they take action. The buyer did end up resending payment, including the $15 chargeback fee - to that seller anyway, all the others lost out. So, since the seller was fully reimbursed, there was no fraud.
I mention all that because if they buyer has refused refund or replacement, although it seems like they may have lied about not receiving the original package, they haven't defrauded you of the items or payment. The other sellers may be able to do something, though, and you could report the buyer to eBay: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/report_problem.html
No idea what - if anything - eBay will do, though. Perhaps encourage any of the other sellers to also report the buyer if they feel there was something suspect about their transactions.

Crikey
Thanks for that link.
Will do some reading on what's required later and get it all under way.
I am determined to not let this buyer get away scott free.
Will talk with ebay tomorrow about the whole situation and see if they will delete the NEG.
Surely they can see by the buyers record that this is a scammer.
And a pretty terrible seller to boot going by FB as a seller.

Thanks DG.
I kind of have a feeling I might be beating my head against a brick wall on this too.
But we just dont need this kind of operator on here. There has to be something that can be done to rid ourselves of such weeds.
I have already contacted two of the Aust sellers on her FB history but so far no replies.
Some of them are Chinese sellers too.
