How doe you list your items and sell in capital cities when you live in a rural location?

If I'm selling large items such as furniture, I'm assuming that most people would limit the areas that they search for these things. i.e within a 100km radius from where they live but I'm wanting to sell from an area that could deliver to Adelaide and Melbourne regularly.

Can I ensure that people in those areas would find my items when they are searching? 

Does the items location (My address) always dictate who will see it if customers chose to limit the search area from where they live?

That is exactly the way it works, I'm afraid, and there isn't any way for you to get your listings seen if they're outside the search parameters entered by someone. 

The only things I can suggest is that you include the information about deliveries to those cities on listings. Will all your listings be unique, or will you have multiples of the same item to sell? If the latter, would it be at all possible for some of them to be stored and picked up at other locations? If so, you could have a few listings where the item location is Adelaide or Melbourne (item location can be set or changed for each listing, and must represent where the item actually is), which will help broaden your prospective buyer-base.
