How long do i have to wait for a reply after selling my car??

How long do i have to wait for a reply after selling my car?? I have sent a message and have not yet received a response. On my Selling terms i stated car was to be picked up and payed for within 3 days after auction has ended and to make contact with me via ebay message with in 48 hours after auction has ended. So yeah, is this buyer for real or is he just pulling my chain???

Ebay will allow you to file and UID (unpaid item dispute) 4 days after the sale at the earliest. Fill this in and you will be refunded the cost of the sale fees if the buyer does not pay in 4 days. This will either hurry the buyer up or you will not hear anything and you can then relist the car. To file a dispute go to your sold list then over to the right hand side of item to the drop down menu and click on resolve a problem, then select you sold and item and have not been paid.

The whole system is **bleep**,i have a similar situation at the moment,and have had many before-wait 4 days-open dispute-wait another 4 days,and then relist and hope the next buyer is genuine-meanwhile the buyer goes on doing the same to other sellers,sure ebay says they issue a negative strike against them-BIG DEAL-what does that achieve-

I often read posts from disgruntled car sellers. I really feel for you guys, there has to be a better way of qualifying buyers & more effective dispute process.

Yeah it really sux, the person who won my car only has 5 rating. So i dont that they worry to much about there account getting any negatives from ebay. Its happened twice to my brother and both people said that there account was hacked.Really find that hard to believe. Ebay should take more of a stance and block there IP address or get people who have less then 50 rating that bid on cars over $500 to pay a $100 retainer that ebay keeps. The real reason I am so anoyed is that soon as my car sold I went and put a $500 deposit on a car that I really wanted, but now this has happed I havent got the cash to pay for it. So its just leaving me in limbo at the moment.. 😞

How about you extract their phone number from eBay and call them? You would probably get a more timely response

Yeh found there number on white pages today, talked to some guy that claims his not the person in question. (pritty sure it was him tho, just by the way he was talking)  Asked him to take a message for me to give to the buyer. Still no response. feel like im just flogging a dead horse.. Might have to try sell else where to get the cash... Im a fair guy, if he wanted to cancel the transaction it would have made me enoyed but depending on the situation i would have agreed,, I just dont like how he is hiding behind his computer sceen not replying and not giving a toss about the predicament he has left me in... Really sux

Finally got my ebay selling fee back and recorded a non payment against the buyer.. Still no reply from him tho...  Just hope in the future ebay makes it a little harder for people like that not to bid...
