Hi,
I was just wondering how long you give someone to make contact after they have won an item? One of my items sold last Saturday and I've heard nothing. Now I understand that Qld and NSW have been through floods but I've even had people pick up items from me who have come from flooded areas such as Gympie recently. I've sent them two emails so far and they have not replied, this is a first for me, so I'm not sure what to do.
Cheers
Cindy

You can open a non payer dispute and if they still have not made contact or pid you can close it after 4 days to get your FVF refunded.
You can do a request for contact details http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/ebayadvsearch?_sofindtype=9 and give them a call to see if all is ok if you want to.
And depending on what happens then you might then decide to open the dispute.

You have their address, is it anywhere near flood affected area? I believe lots of people were without power, even in areas which were not actually threatened by floods. There are so many disasters that lot does not even make it on the News.
Under normal situation I would not give them more than week, but at present I would be lot more patient. Maybe get their details and call them. Some people may have gone to help others clean up, others in various jobs are working round the clock to restore services.

If customer is on QLD I would give a bit longer. Normally I send reminder on day 3 or 4. If no payment or contact UPI filed on day 7 Then closed 4 days later.

Have you sent the buyer an invoice? If not do that straight away. I can't see your payment terms, but one week is long enough to wait for payment. If you have already sent the buyer an invoice for their purchases, you will be eligible to open an unpaid item dispute.
If you click on your eBay Summary page and scroll down the right hand side you will see the Resolution Centre and will be able to click on where it says Item Eligible for Unpaid Item Case which will take you to a window where you click on Buyer Has Not Paid for Item and then eBay will send that buyer a Notice. You may find that the buyer responds quite quickly, if not, you will need to wait four days before you can close the dispute and eBay will refund your FVF and the buyer will receive a Non Payment Strike. At that point I would put them on your Blocked Buyers List. You can then relist the item.

Hi,
Thanks for your advice, because of the flooding I might give it a little while longer as the person still has perfect feedback. I can't send an invoice as it is pick up only and cash on pick up, my terms were contact within three days and payment within five. I'm a bit hesitant in actually ringing the person though, I don't like having to do that.
Cheers

Sorry. It just because it is a pick up item you still send the invoice...just make sure you put 0.00 in the postage section. Maybe the customer is waiting for an invoice from you So that why they have not contacted you? When I do pick up items I still send and invoice then a message. Don't leave it too much longer I would fife the UPI no later than Tuesday. It might spear them into contacting you anyway.

A lot of homes are still without telephone and internet after the wild weekend, apparently they are being advised it could still be up to a week from now to get them reconnected.
We lost phone & internet for five days, we were fortunate to get it back on that quickly because, as I have a heart condition, we are priority customers - otherwise we might still be waiting.

With pick up items I send them my phone number as soon as the item finishes, if I haven't heard anything by day 3 I pull their contact details and give them a call. Pick up arrangements are better made over the phone than in email anyway.
If I can't get hold of them by day 5 I just open the unpaid item dispute, if they get in contact and agree to turn up on xx/zz then fine but if they don't arrive I open the dispute.
I usually list pick up items on a Saturdayd and say things must be picked up by the Sunday evening of the next weekend.
