Just a question that I thought may be of interest ? If you were listing an item that you were advertising for $3500 approx, how many photos would you upload on the Item ? 12 being maximum.

I think it would depend on what the item is. Some of my listings only have one photo because that's all that is needed for that item, others have 10 photos so I can show shots from all angles. I guess take as many as you need to show your items from all angles. If it's something like a piece of jewellery that can change appearance in different light, show photos taken in different light (outside, inside during the day, inside of a night with artificial lighting).

I tend to take a number of shots and then decide what is appropriate - if it is an item that would benefit from showing different angles, if there are flaws one needs to highlight, in the case of collectibles any identifying marks or labels. I guess it depends on whether you want to encourage or minimise questions/concerns particularly with a big ticket item. I wouldn't necessarily have more photos just because an item is more expensive but I would want the photos to do the item justice.

i find its not the quantity of photos its more the quality of a photo that works best.
they say a picture says a thousand words.
