I've got 3 fake PayPal emails this morning. They are all the same.
You sent a payment of $79.3 AUD to eBay International AG (AU-AdCommerce-EOM@ebay.com)
I also got the same one 2 days ago as well as 3 emails in html code which failed to make it looks like PayPal emails.
I'm wondering how often other people get those fake PayPal emails.....

Here's the newest one (I've disabled links for safety):
eBay Bid Cancellation Notice - Item
Dear eBay Community Member,
The bid that you entered for the item (200351371549) has been cancelled. You can view the reason provided for the cancellation by selecting the (bid history) link from the individual item page.
Please be cautious if you are contacted about purchasing this item after the bid has been cancelled and as always avoid paying for your eBay item using instant wire transfer services through Western Union or MoneyGram as these payment methods are unsafe when paying someone you do not know.
Regards,
eBay
I love how spammers are interested in our safety!!! 😛

I've put a block thing on any emails that have the word 'belive' as EVERY fake Paypal email I've ever received has it lol

I received the same fake PayPal email as syrupsmummy several times recently.
Because of various life crises I haven't bought or sold anything on eBay for ages so I didn't click on the link in the first one, marked it as a phishing scam and subsequent fake emails have gone to my junk mail (in Hotmail).
I'm careful because my eBay account was hacked a couple of years ago by someone purportedly selling espresso machines. Had received a warning email from eBay that my email address had been changed and saw what was happening, so it was all sorted with changed passwords.

I have a piece of wood to touch - I have only had 3 of these fake emails since I started here in March, and nothing since Mid May.

I never fall for the ATO ones....I have not done my tax yet so there is no way I could be getting a refund.:^O
