How to buyer confirm delivery of item

I sold an item with both postage and local pick up available as options. However, I delivered the item to the buyer today. How does the buyer confirm they have received the item so that the payment is released to me.

If the buyer completed checkout as a pickup, then you need to input their pickup code.

If the buyer completed checkout with the postage option, then you need to upload tracking - even if you offered Australia Post Domestic Regular Letter Untracked or hand delivered it, tracking is still required for proof of delivery.

eBay will not accept anything else.
