Do these sound like the feedbacks that a SELLER would leave for a BUYER?
21-Jan-13 at 13:18 "Excellent communication. Minor problem resolved very quickly. Happy buyer."

HAHA, looks like somebody is getting their FB improved hoping prospective buyers will read the comments and not look further. 🙂

Maybe they forgot which ID was the buyer and which the seller.

When you look at a listing and click on the feedback score of the seller, it automatically shows only the feedback the member has received as a seller...if they're the buyer and have received those FB comments, any prospective buyer will not see them unless they click to show ALL FB, or feedback received as a buyer....and most buyers would not bother. 😉

Mine defaults to All Feedback. Always has.

Even when you click the FB score from one of the listings? I always get FB as a seller only, whether I'm looking at my own or someone else's listings (and that's how a prospective buyer would generally get to the FB page).

Now I'm MORE confused. These feedbacks were in a SELLERS record so potential buyers would see them anyway, wouldn't they? have a look at DAZZLING 18CT SOLID GOLD PERFECT PENDANT + NECKLACE

Let me rephrase that .... they are in the SELLER's feedback-left-for-others, so I guess potential buyers wouldn't see them unless they clicked on it.

Skip, what confuses/astonishes me is that not only you but also a VERY long time experienced boardie both fell for the same scam from the same seller-albeit a week apart. You both left negs & I sure hope you both only paid $1 & not the $1100 as you said you weren't refunded :O:O:O:O
Re you confusion in your OP-there was a buyer who left a postive but with a negative comment about themselves as the buyer BUT the feedback was left for the SELLER.Now THAT takes the cake :^O:^O:^O:^O

I clicked on their feedback score of 6 (from the listing) and saw only the feedback they have received as a seller. There were 6 comments, from 6 individual members, and none of the comments were the ones you have pasted here, but they were in the feedback left for others tab.
I clicked to view the member profile they have left the 'Absolutely Fantastic Seller -- Super-Fast Shipping, a True Pleasure! 5 Stars' comment for - if that member posts something for sale, a buyer will see a FB score of 11 but if they click on it from a listing, they should see 0 FB comments (if it works the same way as it does for me), unless they click All FB, or FB received as a buyer.
I know what you're main point is, but if I am not mistaken with the above assertion, the feedback comments themselves are unlikely to win a buyer over and/or make them more susceptible to believing a 99c item is genuine, solid gold with a real diamond. 😉
