I cannot find a way of showing that a buyer has collected the item from my home

A buyer paid for my amp on Ebay. Then sent me a message about picking it up. He collected it yesterday and put favourable feedback on the site, but I can't find a way of show Ebay that the amp has been picked up. There is no category on the Ebay site to help with this. And it seems impossible to talk to a human. Very unhappy.

If the buyer paid with a payment method covered by Ebay's Money Back Guarantee (not cash) and for a pick

up only, you're supposed to enter a 6 digit code that the buyer would have received.

This would  cover you for an item not received claim for a $800 item.

The  buyer's left you feedback though, so there shouldn't be a problem.

Cash payment requires the code to mark as picked up as well for some reason.  Kind of strange as the customer hands me the cash then I need to mark as paid then wait for the customer to get the code so I can enter it. Good luck for those few who don't use the app or have a smart phone.

Yes, but the OP has said  "but I can't find a way of show Ebay that the amp has been picked up" and is very unhappy.

If the payment's made in cash, the seller has the money, so no payment holds, and no reason to notify eBay of anything.

And  the code's not really required anyway  if the  payment's made in cash, unless a seller really wants to mark as picked up.

I know and I am lucky as my payments are not held so I can just archive the sale and not ever mark as collected.

So I thought I would mention a cash payment has the same  issue as not being able to be mark as collected without the code. So I now have another item to add to my uncollected items list in my ebay. Maybe I am missing something not being able to just mark it without the code.

So I can see how someone could get frustrated if you need it for an item paid on ebay.
