I really do feel sorry for those poor, poor unsuspecting folk who just log into eBay for a look around and all of a sudden, for no discernable reason, completley beyond their control or understanding end up having a brand new account just magically created AND somehow get through a two stage bid confirmation process AND end up winning the item that they never created an account for nor went through the bidding process for!
Seriously, how thick do some people think everyone else is?
Had an item list on 23/6 and, within an hour a bid was placed by a zero FB Buyer.
Checked it out and found the account had been created only after the item listed but, let it ride.
Within an hour of the auction ending and the Buyer in question being the winner I get the following message from them "Hi, Please cancel this order as it was done by mistake. Thanks"
What the......? Mistake my great, hairy posterior! Cancellation? Fat chance. UPI thank you very much for playing!
Reckon I dodged a bullet on that but, I'm not as green as I am cabbage looking. At least if they were honest I'd still be cranky but, I'd at least be able to respect their honesty.

I,ve got one who opened an account today and purchased an item. They are sending me hassling messages about why I havnt mailed it yet, as he needs the item urgently.
They cant seem to understand that they have to pay for it first

You're doing exactly the right thing, in my opinion.
I've been on ebay a long time. I'm no expert but if I bid, I have to wear the consequences of my actions.
I don't see why some newbie should be able to come on and get away with rubbish that other members can't.
I do understand about helping out people who are unsure about things, but in my view, a person who bids and then later says cancel, was just a mistake, is just being slack, not confused.
They couldn't care less about the seller, so no need to bend over backwards for them, just go through the standard ebay procedures and hit them with a strike.
And chameleon, I'd be messaging back and saying ebay works just like a shop or any online buying site in that you have to pay for items before they are posted and did they realise they had not paid?
