I had a user who won't pay, I have canceled it... Will I still be charged by eBay?

I sold a ticket very close to the date of the event. The user has refused to pay because they no longer need the ticket. I needed to get it up and listed as quickly as possible so I cancelled the old listing and relisted it.

Will I still be charged by ebay? And if so how do I contact them to get it reversed?

Normally you either send a mutual cancellation in which the buyer needs to agree, or open an unpaid item case.

If the buyer doesn't respond to the MC it can be closed after 7 days.

If the buyer doesn't respond to an unpaid case, it can be closed 4 days after it was opened. Note - Unpaid case can only be opened 4 days after sale date so in effect will be 8 days in total.

Both scenario's will give a FVF credit but an unpaid case gives the buyer a strike on their account.

However there may be a new feature to be able to cancel the trans without buyer accepting.

I haven't done one but noticed there were 2 points of opening a cancellation at one stage.

Try going through cancel trans to the right of item in your sold list and see if there is an option to cancel without sending the buyer a cancellation request.

But in this case if buyer refused simply for change of mind, it may be better to open an unpaid case and issue a strike which it sounds like they deserve.

To do so follow the prompts in this link -
