How do I leave negative feedback? When I go to the item I sold and press on "leave feedbac" it only gives me the option of clicking on "positive" or "leave feedback later". How do I leave negative feedback for a buyer who decided after 2 weeks that he no longer wants the item he purchased from me?

And make sure you open an unpaid item dispute to get your FVF's back and assist those who have buyer blocks in place to prevent buyers with too many UID strikes from bidding on their items.

You can't leave negatives for buyers.
The best you can do is to leave no feedback.

Thanks for your reply. Shame you can't leave negative feedback for buyers who have given you the run around!

Sellers have not been able to leave negs for buyers for over five years now!
You can either send a mutual cancellation request in which case a neg would be unjustified anyway or you can open and then close an unpaid item dispute which gets you a refund of your fvf and gets the buyer a strike and neither side can leave feedback. just as well as if you left one for your buyer they would no doubt retaliate and a neg will do a selling account more harm than a buying one.. You can block all sellers who have more than one strike in 12 months from buying from you, much more effective than leaving negs.

i know this is probably not the best practice but i have previously left a negative feedback in the positive section. ( this is to a buyers who has really gave me a run around) i have seen this done before. Thats one way of telling other sellers that there may be a problem..

Unfortunately, it's not the best practise because it is againt eBay's Feedback Policy and terms and conditions of site usage to leave feedback comments with inappropriate content including "Negative Feedback comments left by a seller that directly contradict a positive rating."
If you do breach eBay Policy "you may be subject to a range of actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges or suspension of your account."

I have never seen sellers rush to the boards for getting a policy breach in this area, nor do buyers seem to sanctioned for leaving feedback "against the rules" unless they are a serial negger The feedback comments just seem to be removed.
Interesting ......

*puts hands in air*
I just provided direct quotes from the policy....
I guess eBay have to be aware of the breach before they can do anything (ie someone has to report)
How many buyers and sellers actually use the discussion boards? wasn't it something like 5%?
