I wanted to express my extreme disappointment at the re establishment of listing fees today-The pandemic is still very much with us. This together with postage fees attracting percentage final payments is not in the spirit of the time we are facing. Smiggins 2010

Meaning auctions are only free in the collectable category.

I mistakeny thought you meant that they had listed in the collectable category, but not all of them are.

Hey person, I am all for free anything!  But it saddens me to think some people feel that eBay's gesture of three months or so of continuous unlimited free insertion fees was unappreciated.  I think they did a decent contribution to making things a little easier for us all during the peak of the national outbreak in Australia.  Perhaps some people are starting to feel a bit too entitled in all of this crazy global situation?

I'm sure another free promotion will come along eventually.  I did the smart thing and listed everything again on the last day (yesterday) to give me another month of having my listings up at no cost.  Maybe by then another offer will come along (the one mentioned in the free listings thread didn't work for me).

So, as someone whose live auction business is still closed down by the pandemic, what is the most cost effective way of running auctions on the Australian branch of the world's largest person to person auction site?

Have the following categories yet been deemed to be collectable categories? (they weren't when I left Ebay about three years ago)

All of the sports memorabilia categories.

Vintage toys.

Books - Antiquarian and Collectable.

Stationary engines.
