Since I started selling I have sold 19 items and not sold 24.
Feedback so far has been quite good, but only 6 in total.
Are the photos okay?
I am using Click & send signed for- is it worth the extra dollar?
There have been almost no "bidding wars"- only two contested auctions.
I hope things will improve- relisting is fortunately fairly quick & easy, but I don't want to do it over and over.
How many times should I list an item before I take it to the car boot sale?
Sorry, I have no listings at present, but I only started last month.
I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Hi guys, thank you for all that input!
I have taken it on board and I have revised four of my unsold items to reflect the new approach.
So anyone who has any suggestions is very welcome to comment and suggest improvements:-x
I want to do a lot more but my choir is performing here in Adelaide at the Carnevale today, so it will be later tonight or even tomorrow before I get back into it.
Cosmos I will be getting in touch with you later to pick your brains about Garage Sale, thanks for offering.

If you do want to send items via the letter rate and registered, there is a cheaper option.
You can buy pre-paid registered envelopes for $5.10
In my listings I put happy to combine postage where possible,(as sometimes it's cheaper to send as two parcels instead of one).

Thank you, corny, I don't have anything for sale at present that would go as a letter.
Anyhow, I've just got my DSRs up and I'm very pleased with them.
I have learnt an awful lot on these boards since i first joined eBay, and I'm making use of it at last.
So thank you, everyone, for all the advice you have given over the years.:-x

Looking over your listings I would put in the post and get rid of free postage
When I see free postage I wonder how much more is added onto the item for the post to be "free" Plus I have never had any luck selling with "free postage" listings.Another argumnt against "free post" is you end up paying more to ebay in fees

Half my sales are 'free' postage ones. The postage part is normally $1.50, so I'm prepared to wear the extra 15c in FVF.
A lot of buyers seem to like 'free' postage, so your perception as a buyer is not necessarily representative.

When I first started selling I was listing CDs with free post as BINs w/ Best Offer and was getting some good interest in them. For clothes, since the postage cost is double that of Cds, you could make them $3.20 instead of $6.20 and add $3 into the item price, to see if the very cheap post works out. That way, it doesn't make the price too high either at the sake of free post.
I would also maybe look into the description. Try adding a different colour or two, so it's not all black. Maybe separate some lines or just small things like that.

very true it probably it is not representitive - if others wish to delude that they are getting postage for free good luck to them.
I have to ask//// 15c times how many? it adds up

Well, I took out the postage as a quick way of reducing prices by around $5. I had a few watchers, and they would certainly have noticed if I'd loaded the prices!
One of them sold itself last night, so it may be working. I hope to list a bunch more new auction items today since it's going to be a scorcher, and there I'll think about the freepost thing .
