RECENTLY SOLD A INDUSTRIAL SET OF DRAWS ON EBAY TO A BUYER IN MELBOURNE , SHE PAID VIA PAYPAL NO PROBLEMS THERE . UNTIL PAYPAL FROZE MY ACCOUNT AND ASKED ME TO SUPLY PROOF OF PURCHASE , SO I CALLED THEM AND AFTER A 20MIN WAIT WAS TOLD SOME CRAP ABOUT SHE CANT ORGANISE A COURIER I HAVE TO . SO NEEDLESS TO SAY THE SALE FELL THROUGH AS IT LOOKED FROM HER POINT OF VIEW THAT I WAS DODGY . THIS FACT WAS COMPOUNDED WHEN THE BUYER RANG PAYPAL AND WAS TOLD IF YOU DONT PAY VIA PAYPAL YOU MAY NOT GET THE ITEM .... BUT SHE DID PAY VIA PAYPAL IN THE FIRST PLACE SO WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND FOR A WEEK I THINK PAYPAL ARE GETTING TO BIG FOR THERE BOOTS HENCE WHY I LIKE LOCAL BUYERS CUT PAYPAL OUT ALL TOGETHER

If it was a Pick Up only item you should not have accepted paypal as there is no Seller or Buyer protection.
You are also not obliged to arrange a courier.
I do not understand why paypal expected you to provide proof of purchase? Do you mean they anted proof that you had purchased the item or that the buyer had purchased it?
