Hi all, recently I have been trying to sell items internationally by listing directly on ebay.co.uk rather than .com.au
All was going well, and naturally you make some mistakes with your early sales, but trust that you will improve over time.
But then I got a message saying I had hit my international selling limit, of 10.
I was shocked! I had not been informed that this limit was in place. Its key to my selling strategy to use .co.uk
anyway, ive called, used the chat function, and emailed cbtquestions@ebay.com, but to no avail. No replies from the email, and the other services referred me to the email.
Anyone know if its possible to get the selling limit above 10 items when selling on a site you didn't first register with?

I hope you didnt send items by sea mail and hope they arrive in 1-3weeks from australia?????????????????
3months is closer to reality with seamail to UK, gosh they usually take a week or 2 just to clear UK Customs/VAT collector

I have had this account for years, and have 52 responses so far. My paypal account is fully linked, and I have a credit card linked as well, although, that was the one I used to use many years ago when I first got my ebay account, it may even be out of expiry now.
Putney, you comment is way off topic.

Vlad, I am talking about a credit card linked to your ebay account, not PayPal, for automatically taking your ebay FVF and listing fees out each month, but maybe that's what you have.
Also 52 are total transactions, not selling trans, it looks like you only have 5 trans as a seller. Ebay often set limits for sellers to prevent scammers and to make sure you don't rack up a large amount in fees and not be able to pay on time.
I also thought your postage very cheap? 3 planes to send to UK for 6.60? Maybe the planes are smaller than they look. Cheers.

Re listing on the UK site have you read up on the fees (higher) and the implications of the buyer's having ebay buyer protection which is different to Paypal's? One thing you should be aware of is that you will need proof of delivery through on line tracking not just proof of posting which is required on the Aus site.
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.
See what a trendsetter I am?

Thats right you put the experienced seller in their place, because you are an expert
if you use seamail you are heading for a world of pain
listen to the good advice

Shipping to UK by air will cost minimum about $20, last time I looked. And if you send it by sea, the buyer will be able to open dispute and get refund long time before they arrive. So, look at the selling limits this way; by limiting your listing ability to 10, ebay is most likely limiting the scale of disaster you are setting yourself for ๐

Because some very kind and experienced sellers have noticed you are making a major mistake, and are taking the time to give you advice
why dont you take it on board ?
