International selling limits?

Hi all, recently I have been trying to sell items internationally by listing directly on ebay.co.uk rather than .com.au

All was going well, and naturally you make some mistakes with your early sales, but trust that you will improve over time.

But then I got a message saying I had hit my international selling limit, of 10.

I was shocked! I had not been informed that this limit was in place. Its key to my selling strategy to use .co.uk

anyway, ive called, used the chat function, and emailed cbtquestions@ebay.com, but to no avail. No replies from the email, and the other services referred me to the email.

Anyone know if its possible to get the selling limit above 10 items when selling on a site you didn't first register with?

I'm sorry, please forgive me, there is clearly something I am missing. Can someone please be specific and alert me to where I have offered to ship something by sea?

Wings of War Series 4, unopened, all in perfect condition!free shipping from Australia by sea mail, generally takes 1-3 weeks (regularly australian sea mail is actually flown)If you request other shipping, I will pay the equivalent of the sea mail and charge you for the difference.

Ha you are right. I apologise.

Ok, Yes, I have clearly not yet learned all there is about creating an accurate listing. I did not intend for it to say shipping by sea.

I would only ever choose a shipping method the buyer has agreed to. I would get bad feedback if I did otherwise.

Putney, how did you find that listing, it is old?

What I did there with that listing is to offer free shipping to someone who is willing to wait, without it costing me too much, but with an option for air if they so chose. I am currently waiting close to 3 months for an item I chose to have shipped to me by sea, for larger items I don't see why it wouldn't be worth making it an option.

Regardless, thanks for alerting me to my mistake,

and thanks to phorumjunkie and kopenhagen for the suggestions

vlad I found it in your sold listings because I was looking at your ebay.UK listings.

it could be a problem if th buyer says they'll wait for seamail and then open a not received dispute in 45 days time.

When I click on your recent listing, the postage page, enter UK, I get:

AU $10.20United KingdomAusPost Sea Mail Parcel

Go to the item, click on revise, scroll down to international shipping and select airmail service from the drop down menu.  You can revise any item that has no bids.

Ebay really are saving you from yourself, I have just had a look at a couple of your listings and you have COD as a payment method, this means you have to send or take the item to the buyer and then get paid it does not mean cash on pick up.

As I said earlier do you realise that by listing on the UK site you will be paying higher FVFs and you will be getting paid in GBP even if the buyer is in Australia so will pay extra Paypal cross border fees too.

As you could not have any chance of sending your items for the quoted price price by a method that would qualify for ebay buyer protection you could end up finding it very expensive.

Perhaps until you have a bit more experience you should stick to listing on the Au site and if you feel confident enough to offer worldwide postage just use international options on this site.
