It does happen everywhere but we've had a bad run with mail going to the Nambour region.
We've posted 336 parcels in the last 6 weeks and had 3 reported missing.
The first was sent as a large letter with no tracking. A replacement was sent Registered and then the buyer wasn't carded to say that the item was awaiting collection.
The second was sent through C&S and the status showed as delivered a few days later. The buyer emailed to say they hadn't received it and Aus Post started an investigation. The parcel was delivered to the buyer two days later.
The third was sent as a large letter with no tracking. A replacement was sent and now that hasn't shown up. 😮

I'd hate to say it but sounds as though there may be a dodgy postie in that area. It can happen... like in every job, there are some good workers and some lazy.
It might be worth checking with Oz Post and letting them know that this has happened several times and as it seems to be going to the same address, they may be able to check who does that particular run.
I used to be a courier and had a good mate work at Oz Post... as much as we like to think it's all legit, there will always be one person to ruin it all.
I have a few that go astray from time to time, perhaps sent to China on the way through to Oz but most seem to get there... usually after the buyer has complained & I've been forced to refund. Most people are lovely though and pay if they still receive it.
Good luck!

that is just about right for the statistics, which say that less than 1% gets lost.
please, keep reporting the missing parcels; that way if there is a problem in this particular facility it will become obvious. AP do not know where the problem is unless we keep reporting.

Two of the 3 missing items were sent untrackable, just as much chance of a buyer doing the wrong thing as a post worker bothering to 'keep' a large envelope. JMO

Hell yeah totally agree. I've moved all around Qld for the past 20 years and never had such a problem as I do now getting packages delivered through Burnside Mail Centre, Must say though my local postie (on the bike) is great but whenever the package is too large for him or express (ha ha) post the dodgy contractor gives me problems but delivering to the wrong address is in excuseable.

My parcel is currently living at Burnside post office! It was received there and processed and hasn’t moved! I need that parcel!

This thread is 10 years old - Greg probably has his parcel by now.

Put in a complaint to Australia Post. Whenever I've done that the parcel has been found and eventually delivered.
