Is Ebays page ranking like Google

Hi Guys,

I have recently listed a few new products to my store and have found that they fall on about page ten after filtering through heaps of categories (Aust only, free postage etc). I have researched on how to lift the items to a higher page but with no luck. Is there a secret behind getting to the top few pages? Does the more you sell increase your page ranking or discounting or is it content? Any help here would be great..

I've never checked the positioning but sales seem to come through only after a listing has been uploaded.

When no new listings are put on regularly, sales drop like a stone.

Run some auctions - then at least you'll be at the 'top of the heap' some of the time

I find that after I make a new listing my sales increase.. I have also found that throwing something on sale makes all my listings appear higher in the ranking.
