I am finding that l have increasing numbers of customers that are ?making up reasons for demanding a refund for ?defects or a small unnoticeable mark on used clothing. EBay are refunding the whole lot so l lose on postage +without consulting me.
Also The other thing that happens is a customer has a parcel delivered but aren’t home or are home and can’t walk downstairs then complain that they did not get their item and again EBay refunds them and l lose out on the postage again +/- not getting the item back
I know times are tough but you don’t make much selling used clothes anyway once eBay take their cut.
lt might not be the thousands people are claiming on taking holidays then claiming their credit cards were stolen but it takes the joy out of selling
Very disillusioned b

Read the FAQs about selling, returns.
If your customers are being refunded without consultation it means you aren't bothering to respond to cases opened against you.
Upload tracking so buyers cannot claim undelivered.
I suspect most of your issues are down to you.

I had a look at a couple of items you have listed for sale.
I do think pre owned clothing can be a mine field these days (I used to sell a fair bit of it several years ago) but one thing did strike me and that is that in the 2 listings I saw, you just said the condition was 'pre owned'.
I never did that. I always described the condition in some detail. I noticed in one feedback comment that the buyer said the shirt had loose threads and pulls. I have no way to know how true that was, but I think with pre owned clothing, you need to outline the slightest faults, even if, to your mind, they are just normal things that happen to pre owned clothing.
I used to either describe things as excellent, as new items with no faults or else as very good etc
Anything less than that, I didn't sell, too many potential hassles.
You most definitely need to post with tracking, although your postage costs would seem to indicate you are already doing that. You need to upload the tracking for the buyer to see as well, as dave said.
If someone opens a claim to say they didn't receive it, then you need to get into that dispute straight away to point tracking shows delivered. Good luck.
