Is scalping illegal on ebay ?

 3 listings for $36 family tickets being sold for $100 each by premhz to the Lego exhibition Brickvention in January 2014. Tickets are still available for this event and any child under 3 is free. Adults are $12 and kids 4-14 $6   190985736858

I am sure scalping is against ebay policy

From memory, you can resell tickets as long as it's valid and adheres to the law etc etc

I thought eBay was against it too until my friend asked me to help sell some tickets for her and found the link above. I didn't end up helping her sell them though because it seemed a little dodgy to be selling tickets on ebay..

the majority of event tickets ar just like any other commodity, you buy at a price and sell for a higher price,

dont really matter if they are event tickets, iphones or tea cosies!

of course, thre are some restrictions in place by different State Laws about tickets at certain venues. the rest are just commodities.

Most ticket issuers deem event tickets as non-transferable and not to be resold more than the face value.

It depends on the issuers conditions of the tickets. (The small print)

If you adhere to the conditions and laws, they are saleable on ebay.
